Staff and access

The Staff page lists everyone who has signed in to Chandler. From there you can sign a person out of every computer at once, or turn their access off.

You need the License admin permission to open this page.

Seeing who has access

Click Staff at the top of the page. For each person you see:

  • their name and email address
  • their permissions
  • Last signed in: when they last signed in to Chandler, in UTC
  • Can sign in?: Yes, or No with the date their access was turned off

A person appears here after their first sign-in. People who have never signed in are not listed.

Signing someone out everywhere

Use this when someone may have left Chandler open on a computer they no longer control. For example, they lost a laptop, or they used a shared computer.

  1. On the Staff page, find the person.
  2. Click Sign out everywhere.
  3. Read the confirmation page, then click Sign out everywhere again.

What happens:

  • The person is signed out of Chandler on every computer and browser straight away.
  • They can sign in again at any time with their work account.
  • The action is recorded in the audit log.

If you choose yourself, you are signed out too. This always works, even if you are the only license admin: use it on yourself if your own laptop was lost.

Disabling a person

Use this when someone should not use Chandler any more, for example when they leave the company or change jobs.

  1. On the Staff page, find the person.
  2. Click Disable.
  3. Read the confirmation page, then click Disable again.

What happens:

  • The person is signed out straight away and can't sign in to Chandler.
  • Nothing they did is deleted. Their past actions stay in the audit log.
  • The action is recorded in the audit log.

You can't disable yourself. Ask another license admin if this is needed. Chandler also won't disable the only license admin who can still sign in, so that someone is always left to manage staff access. Ask IT to give someone else the License admin permission first.

Disabling someone in Chandler does not touch their ExactNet work account. Tell IT as well when someone leaves.

Enabling a person again

  1. On the Staff page, find the person. Can sign in? shows No.
  2. Click Enable.

They can sign in again straight away, on each computer they use. The action is recorded in the audit log.

Changing someone's permissions

Permissions come from IT, through the ExactNet work account. Chandler can't change them. Ask IT to add or remove the permission. The change shows in Chandler within about an hour. Chandler checks quietly with Microsoft about once an hour, and also at each sign-in.

To remove a permission straight away, ask IT to remove it, then use Sign out everywhere for that person.
