The dashboard
The dashboard is the first page you see after you sign in. It shows what you can do, whether Chandler is working, and shortcuts to the main areas.
To come back to it at any time, click Dashboard or Chandler at the top left.
What you can do
The What you can do panel lists your permissions and what each one lets you do. If something you need is missing, see Asking for access.
Reading the status card
The System status card tells you, in one line, whether Chandler is working:
- Everything is working. All parts of Chandler are answering. You don't need to do anything.
- Downloads may be unavailable — tell engineering. At least one part of Chandler isn't answering. Customers may not be able to check their license or download updates right now.
Below the headline, the card lists each part of Chandler. Each part shows Working or Not responding:

| Database | Stores customers, licenses, releases and the audit log. |
| Rate limiter | Slows down anyone who tries too many times in a row, such as someone guessing secret codes. |
| License signer | Creates the license files we give to customers. |
| File storage | Holds the update files customers download. |
If the card says Status checks are not connected yet, Chandler isn't checking its parts on this computer. This only happens on test setups.
If the card says something is wrong:
- Reload the page after a minute. Short problems often fix themselves.
- If it still shows a problem, tell engineering. Say which part is not working and when you first saw it.
Installed copies of our products keep working when Chandler has a problem. Only new license checks and downloads are affected.
Licenses and releases cards
There are two Licenses cards:
- Licenses expiring in the next 30 days lists licenses whose end date is close. Renew them in time. See Renewing.
- Recently changed lists licenses that were issued, renewed, suspended, resumed or revoked most recently.
Select a line to open that license. Each line shows the license's status.
The Releases card has two lists:
- Newest version of each product shows the newest published program for each product.
- Waiting to be published shows releases whose files have been checked (Verified) and releases still being prepared (Draft).
Select a release to open it. To see every release, select See all releases. Releases explains what each state means.
